# Gold Mining & Tokenization

Gold is sourced directly from verified mining operations, with full traceability and on-chain asset verification. The mining process typically includes:

1. **Exploration:** Identifying gold-rich areas through geological surveys and sampling.
2. **Extraction:** Mining operations use techniques such as open-pit or underground mining to extract ore.
3. **Processing:** The extracted ore is crushed and refined using methods like gravity separation, flotation, or cyanidation to extract pure gold.
4. **Verification:** Refined gold is authenticated and stored in secured vaults.
5. **Tokenization:** Verified gold reserves are digitally represented as tokens on the blockchain, enabling fractional ownership and integration into the EMAS-FI ecosystem.

This ensures that each EMAS-backed token has tangible, verifiable gold reserves behind it, creating a secure and stable financial instrument.
